Since his college job as a student advisor and through successive roles in search and recruiting, John Bergstrom developed a lifelong passion for helping individuals and organizations find the best fit for their talents. His successful 30-year career in human resources and organizational development demonstrates his proficiency at nurturing talent and creating strong organizational cultures.
John is particularly adept at helping senior leaders navigate through complex change, such as rapid growth, acquisitions, divestitures and unexpected market turns. He understands the personal and professional impact of transition, and provides sound strategies to handle challenging circumstances.
In his previous HR leadership roles with Pearson Education, UnitedHealthGroup and Medtronic, John built trusted advisor roles and close partnerships across the business, resulting in measurable, positive results. He holds a psychology degree from the University of Minnesota.
In his free time, John serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club Twin Cities. He’s an avid hiker (24 national parks and counting), active skier and self-described Twins baseball “fanatic.” If he’s not in the office, you’ll usually find John and his wife outdoors, taking in live music or traveling coast to coast to visit their children.
