Hank Malin
Executive Consultant
Here at Navigate Forward, we love to tout the loyalty of our clients. Sometimes they’re so impressed by our services that they even want to become employees themselves. That’s the case for Hank Malin, who joins our team after a career marked by transitions from higher education to corporate human resources—and back again. Hank works with transitioning executives to help them sort through options, set priorities and develop concrete plans to reach their goals.
In the educational sector, he worked as director of admissions at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. From there, he moved to the corporate world, spending 20 years as human resource leader at General Mills. After leaving the corporate sector, he worked with Navigate Forward to find a fulfilling next step, becoming executive director for the career center at Denison University.
Coaching and mentoring are key skills for Hank, who is a graduate of the Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan and a former mentor in the Menttium Mentoring Program. He estimates that he’s conducted about 4,000 interviews over the course of his career, so he understands what screeners and interviewers are looking for at every stage of the process. Especially for those who haven’t participated in a job interview in some time, his insights and preparation assistance are invaluable.
As someone who has made his own bold career moves and who has experienced Navigate Forward first-hand he has the unique skillset to help clients find a fulfilling career in their current field—or a brand-new one.
