Betty Grant

Executive Consultant

Betty Grant is an experienced entrepreneur and corporate executive. As co-founder of the executive search firm O’Leary and Grant, Betty worked with Fortune 1000 companies to attract talented and effective senior executives. Earlier in her career she worked for Unisys and Cullinet Software where she launched their business in the Twin Cities and built an extensive sales and service organization in the Upper Midwest.

Betty is known for her ability to partner with executives—as a sounding board, strategist, catalyst and coach. Drawing on diverse corporate and executive search experience, she understands what companies look for in executives and how they can best articulate their value. Clients appreciate her honesty, empathy, creativity and practicality. Having made multiple career and life transitions, she knows change can lead to great rewards. Betty is excited to assist others in capitalizing on their opportunities.

In her encore career, Betty combines work at Navigate Forward with a long-time commitment to community service. She co-leads Amigos del Mercado, a resource center serving the Latino community. Her longtime interest in women and girls has included board and committee leadership roles for the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, Teenwise and The Works. On Betty’s office wall hangs this sign: “Stop me before I volunteer again.”

When not working, Betty is on the move, out and about. You might see her commuting by bike around Minneapolis (not in winter!), playing golf, seeing the latest movies and trying the newest restaurants in town. She’s an avid traveler and combines an interest in other cultures with being active; memorable trips include hiking in Chile, walking in Spain, rafting the Grand Canyon and biking in Turkey. She believes in making the most of what life offers—today.
