Paul has held several executive roles, including VP of Global Leadership and Talent Development at Medtronic, where he was the recipient of the Wallin Leadership Award. In addition to his work as an executive consultant for Navigate Forward, Paul works with senior leaders to help them identify and develop top talent.
His career began as a licensed psychologist, which helped Paul later gain deep understanding of the workplace talents that senior executives need. As both a reflective and action-oriented consultant, Paul encourages idea generation through questioning and dialogue. He is committed to helping executives become more self-aware and authentic. Paul enjoys working with executives in transition to define the desired future state, generate ideas on how to get there, and create roadmaps to propel them forward.
Paul holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his BA in Psychology at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Paul is both an avid Twins fan and an eternal optimist, which is a good combination some years. He also enjoys watching University of Minnesota Basketball.
With unlimited time and resources, Paul would travel the world to meet people in exotic cultures, taking hundreds of photos with the hope that 2-3 shots might shine. In the meantime, he still plays poker with friends from High School, but to date, this has not funded his travel ambitions. Paul and his wife Elizabeth have been married for over 30 years and have two adult children, Peter and Annie.
